The duties of the tail twister are to promote harmony, good fellowship and enthusiasm at club meetings by appropriate stunts and games and a judicious imposition of fines on club members. New Lions may be inhibited and shy and the tail twister can suitably introduce them and make them feel that they are valued members of the club.

Some Tail Twisting Ideas for fines:

​

• Ask them the name of the person on their right. If they do not know then that person will pay their fine.

• Who has recently become engaged, bought a new car, become a parent, received a promotion at work, or other noteworthy achievement? Pay a fine.

• Have a 50/50 money raffle at the meeting. Club keeps 1/2, someone wins 1/2.

• Who has the most (qty not $) coins in their pocket or purse? Person with the most has to put $ in the kitty.

• Playdoh -- each table has to create something (Market Day Food Items) and present their creation, group votes on the best table.

• Coloring (holiday-themed)

• Toothpick & Mini-Marshmallow build-it contest by table (highest structure)

• Mix the tables up, draw questions, and go around answering questions from a list (see list below).
